This special topic wheel class will focus on making bottle forms on the potter’s wheel. Demonstrations will focus on how to collar the clay to make a neck on various shaped pots. Students will explore tips and tricks to making successful bottles over the four classes. This 4-week course will not cover glazing, but slip techniques will be available and the teacher will clear glaze wares at the end of session if desired. Beginning experience throwing on the pottery wheel recommended. Included in the cost is everything you need while you are in class: basic pottery tools, buckets, clay, firing, discounted open studio opportunities.
