Wheel Throwing Pottery Special Topics: Form and Decoration 8 Week Course

This 8-week, weekend morning class is a great time to cultivate your art and clay interests! Whether trying the potter’s wheel for the first time or interested in further instruction and time to practice your throwing skills, this class is the one for you. The class will walk students through special projects that focus on form and decoration while learning and practicing working on a potter’s wheel. Every two weeks a new project will be introduced and students will see a demonstration and receive guidance to create their own renditions. The following week participants will finish the pieces with trimming, designing, additions and glaze. Projects will include- cups, composite vase, pouring vessel with Sgraffito design, and lidded pot. Class includes discounted Open Studio time, 25 lbs clay and tools to use.
